Metal

This precious resource enables you to build the buildings your kingdom needs to prosper.

Networth

Networth is what your kingdom is worth within the game of Terra Solaris. The larger the networth the better your empire is. The more you build the higher your networth becomes.

Credits

Credits are your money. Without having credits, you won't be able to buy, build, produce, or do anything else to expand your empire. The more credits you have, the more you can build. The bigger your income of credits you have, the more you can build.

Population

Your population is a measure of citizens within your great colony. The citizens of your colony are comprised of all non-military or non-science officers. These citizens of your colony pay taxes every tick so it's a good idea to have a high level of population. Population is also your only defense against other players from scanning you.

Power

Having an abundant supply of power is imperative. Power is used to support pop, military, buildings, and they're also used for scanning other players for their stats. If at any point your power supply is at 0 during the tick change then the following happens:
* 8% pop loss each hour.
* 50% research efficiency.

Main

The Main Section is always the first screen you see when logging into Terra Solaris. This screen tells you of all the happenings of your Empire. Recent news is displayed along with your current resources and current military.

The Main Section is great if you're pressed for time and need a complete rundown of recent happenings involving your empire and how all your various resources are fairing.

Status Page

The status page is broken into several small sections.

Economy Status: The Economy Status section displays your income change, population change, power change, metal change from extracting, and networth change during your previous hour change.

Metal Status The Metal Status displays how much metal you'll be receiving within the next 16 ticks.

Construction Status The Construction Status section displays the buildings you will receive within the next 16 ticks. All the buildings you have begun construction upon will be displayed upon this page.

Training Status Your Training Status section allows you to view all the military you currently own, and the military you will be receiving in 16 ticks. This section is great to use when you need to prepare for WAR enabling you to pick a time when you will receive a great deal of military to begin your assaults.

Torpedo Status The Torpedo Status section displays your current amount of torpedoes in your arsenal along with the torpedoes in production. Much like the Training Status page, this page is a great way to plan when to begin a war.

Military Campaign Your Military Campaign section informs you when your generals and troops will be back from their battles.

Messages

The ability to send and receive messages is a vital part of the game. Communication is one key to survival within a game such as Terra Solaris.

Sending messages is relatively easy to do. Every Empire within Terra Solaris lies within a galaxy. As long as you know the name of the Empire and his/her galaxy coordinates, you can transmit a message to them.

To receive messages, click on the Messages link. You will be able to read any messages you have within this area.

View Sector

The Your Sector link can before a very useful tool within the development of your Empire. With this link you can explore the Universe, enabling you to pick and choose targets that look nice and juicy. You should attempt to use this great tool all the time. Believe me, it really helps.

On another note using this link will allow you to compare your networth and metal growth with the growth of others. Good Luck!

The players who have reached a high networth in their sector will have the option of naming their sector and also have the option to give it a sector banner.

Extract Metal

The Extract feature is a very important part of Terra Solaris. Using the Extra function can be very useful earlier on in the game. However as the game progresses, it becomes extremely costly. The more metal you have the more credits are required to pay your workers to discover Metal because some of the metal within the Universe is located in extremely dangerous places, and expensive equipment is required to retrieve the metal.

The metal you send your workers out to find in the depths of space is recovered and returned over a staggered period of time. You will receive the metal you purchase within 12 ticks of the initial purchase. So while you are awaiting for your precious metal to return remember you will get it a little bit at a time.

Construction

Constructing buildings is a very important piece to building a great and massive kingdom. There isn't an obvious strategy to planning which buildings you want to build, and on what percentage of your Metal you will build each type of building on. That's why you first have to figure out your own style of playing and plan ahead based on that fact. Remember you need metal to build buildings.

There's also an advanced feature which enables you to upgrade your buildings to the advanced types. Residences - Hives, Fusion Plants - Anti-Matter Reactors and or - Star Harnesses, Planetary Mines - Varium Particle Matrix and or - Asteroid Devourers. Upgrading costs are cheaper than building costs and are also instant.

There's another feature in Terra Solaris. The Razing feature. Razing a building costs nothing and grants you free space.

Building Name Description
Residences Houses 75 pop.
** Has 100 support points.
Hives* Houses 120 pop.
** Has 70 support points.
Barracks* **Has 325 support points for military.
Planetary Mines Produces 120 credits.
Varium Particle Matrix* Produces 200 credits.
Asteroid Devourer* Produces between 150 and 375 credits.
Fusion Reactors Produces 100 power and stores 250.
Anti-Matter Reactors* Produces 150 power and stores 500.
Star Harness* Produces 300 power and stores 150.
Torpedo Silos Can launch 30 Torpedoes.
Launch Pads* Can launch 150 Torpedoes.
Research Laboratories Produces 1 Research Point.
*Needs to be researched.
**Support points are used to store units. Each unit has a different amount of support point usage. Some take 1 while others take 2. If your military takes up more support points than are currently available, then your military will start kicking out pop until all units have been housed.

Research Center

Research is one of the biggest factors in the game. By quickly "teching" up, you'll be able to get better units and or a better economy of population, credits, and power. However, if you neglect your military might, then you'll be quickly ripped apart.

If at any time, you have 0 power, then your research will be at 50% efficiency. So if you have 100 research centers and at 0 power, you'll be researching 50 points instead of 100.

Military Command

The warlike existence the Terra Solaris world entails has led to the units and weapons of war being diverse to the extreme. For the moment all races will use the same unit structure but it is possible that as the combat system is advanced race specific units and such like will be added. All of the following units are trained in the Military Command.

You can also train soldiers in the Military Command. These units are the bases of your army because you cannot train any other type of combat unit without them. Another Below is a table of all the unit types within the game. Their current stats and costs are listed.

Unit NameOffenseDefenseCostHousing
Soldiers 1 0 150 1

Wraiths can not be seen by normal scans and do not require soldiers to be built.

Torpedo Silo

Here, you'll be able to produce your torpedoes. Each torpedo has a different effect. One is used for defense, while others are used for offensive use.

War Bunker

Attacking is a major part of Terra Solaris. Attacking benefits the attacker greatly, because it's a great way to receive metal, credits, power and pop after every successful battle.

Every Empire within the online game Terra Solaris has 3 generals to attack with.

When you make a successful attack you receive 10% of that Empires metal. For example, if you attack an Empire with 1000 metal, you will receive 100 metal from that attack. For every general you send, you will lose less troops during your battle.

Also, when sending more than 1 general, portions of your military will come back faster. Great for making big grabs and sending a good size portion of your military out.

Attack times range between 7-14 hours (14 - 28 ticks).

Torpedo Strike

Torpedoes are a powerful weapon if used correctly. When used in masses any Federation and or even player can severely cripple another player and or federation. By inputting the galaxy and sector coordinates and selecting the target from those coordinates, you'll be able to unleash havoc upon the unexpected target.

Remember that you're limited to the amount you can send during each launch. The more Torpedo Silo's / Launch Pads you have, the more of your torpedoes you can launch. You are allowed on launch per tick. When you are attacked with torpedoes your Deflectors, will automatically launch and destroy the incoming torpedoes. Deflectors aren't limited to the number of Torpedo Silo's / Launch Pads you currently have.

Espionage Room

Using this great in game feature you can make a scan upon any Empire within the Terra Solaris game. However the scans costs a bit of power so make sure you have enough for a few scans a day. If you research Advanced Scans, you will be able to reveal Wraiths, which are undetectable using normal scans. In addition to being able to scan an enemy's wraiths, you can also scan on their Economy.

Federation Council

Terra Solaris is a game of WAR. Many people like to work together to achieve their goals. You may join a federation for the protection, the fun, or just because it appeals to you. Whatever the reason is, you have the option to join or create a Federation within the game.

About Federation: Using this sophisticated super computer program you can view a list of kingdoms within any Federation in the game of Terra Solaris. This tool can be the decisive tool in a war. You will be able to view the members within any Federation, measure your own Federation with theirs, and decide are you strong enough to go toe to toe with them.

Leave Federation: You have the option of leaving your current Federation at any time. However consider this option carefully before you decide to go through with it. Many Federation leaders won't take you back if you have chosen wrong.

Create Federation: Everyone in the game of Terra Solaris has the ability to create a Federation. However, people joining you and your cause might be hard to get.

Federation News: The Federation News section is another useful tool within the game of Terra Solaris. You must remain in contact with your allies at all times and be able to witness yourself what misdeeds have been committed against them. This section allows you to see with your own eye, if your allies have been attacked. Perhaps you will notice a trend with the attacks and realize this to be an act of war.

Federation Fund: The Federation Fund is a tool to help a Federation Member. The Federation Leader can set a tax which will slowly draw credits from a Federation's member planets. The Tax can be set from anywhere to -100% to 100%. If the tax is set below zero, the fund will disperse evenly to each member planet until it runs out of credits. In addition to the Federation Tax, the Federation Leader has the option of handing out lump sums of credits to it's members. All Federation Fund activity is reported in the Federation News. Use this tool wisely my friend, it can be the difference with triumph and destruction!

Forums (Federation / In-Game)

Forums are an excellent source of communication when working within a group. Communication is the KEY to the success of any Federation. Within the Federation Forums you can share game tips, ask for help, share targets, or plan for war. This is a great resource to use within the game of Terra Solaris.

The Game Forums are great for reporting bugs, advertising your Federation, asking for help, and just having fun. If you visit the Game Forums on a regular basis, you will probably learn a great deal of things about Terra Solaris.

Scores

The scores page is an excellent place to compare your Networth and metal level with the rest of Terra Solaris. Furthermore, within the scores page, you can watch your Federation climb and rise within the ranks. Perhaps your Federation will be able to dominate the scores. Good Luck! Remember scores will be archived at the end of each game. So you will always have the ability to show of your game scores if they are real good!

Terra Solaris uses a different style of scores than most games. We reward participation. Planets are ranked by their percent. The percent is taken from their attack points and loss points. You gain attack points by making a successful attack. You gain loss points by being successfully attacked. You gain more points for making better attacks.

Attack Points
By attacking someone with less than 50% your metal, you gain 1 attack point.
By attacking someone with between 50% and 80% of your metal, you gain 4 attack points.
By attacking someone with between 80% and 100% of your metal, you gain 8 attack points.
By attacking someone with more metal than you, you gain 16 attack points.
Loss Points
If you are sucessfully attacked by someone between 100% and 400% of your metal, you gain 8 loss points.
If you are sucessfully attacked by someone smaller than you, you gain 30 loss points.
If you are sucessfully attacked by someone over 4 times your size, you gain 1 loss point.

Your percent is calculated by (Attack Points / (Attack Points + Loss Points)) * 100.

Preferences

Using the preferences page you have the ability to change your password, or delete your account. However I doubt very many of you would want to delete your account in such a great game as Terra Solaris.

WARNING! Please make sure your password isn't simple or obvious. Also make sure to follow all directions on this page, or you might end up with a big surprise.

Logout

This feature logs you out of the game. Go figure. However, even though you're not logged into the game, your empire is still growing and is susceptible to being scanned, attacked, messaged, and or torpedoed.

Chaos Mode

Chaos mode is an end-of-game free-for-all. Scores are taken for archival, ticks are increased to 5 minute intervals and production values sky rocket. You gain 10x more resources per tick, and can hold 10x more. Chaos mode normally lasts a few days and is used by the admins to test new scripts. In addition to the changed settings, all accounts that had previously died are revived and thrown back in to the game.
